Yesterday I recorded for a short project and am going to be able to be credited for my work in the manner I choose. It has a credits list, and I’m fortunate enough to have my name near the top. It’s a small project, but I got me thinking- how should I credit myself? The director said I could leave my name (or username,…

I don't know what my problem is. The context is a lot, and not very coherent. I'm in my last year of my acting BFA. I'm planning on becoming a dialect coach after graduation (and have plans in motion to do so). I \*like\* acting. It's what I'm good at, though I'm not part of the "special" ones in class (you may know wh…

First and foremost, I'm grateful to have found an agent and sign with them on my own. I was very lucky to sign after showcase but realized I wasn't quite ready for the move. I got dropped after a year and was just lost. After a short break, I got new headshots, dusted myself off, and got back in the game. Fast forward…

I (21F) am in my last quarter of college in Chicago in a major unrelated to acting. I've always been more of a creative type, did a lot of arts stuff in HS, but I dropped everything at a certain point to focus solely on voice lessons and the theatre department at school. Nothing made me happier than being in spring mus…

Does anyone know where to find/currently have resources regarding visas (not to the US) for actors? I think after twenty years in the business I can define our ultimate problem as actors in one distilled answer. The number one problem we face as actors, stems from a catch-22. That’s a big misconception that a lot of aspiring voice actors have about the work - you use a unique voice for every single role you take on. The best voice actors - Laura Bailey, Nolan North, John DiMaggio, Mark Hamill etc, are all innately recognisable actors who are all definitely capable of shows of extreme voice…
